SNAP Test for Symbiosis Postgraduate Programmes

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is conducted by Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS). Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a common written test for admission to the Post-Graduate Prograames offered by Institutes of the University. However, written test is only the first step. A candidate is also required to undergo the next step of selection process of the desired institute to qualify for admission to that institute. The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) test is held at several cities across India on the third Sunday of December every year for admissions to postgraduate programmes offered in the subsequent academic session.

Addressing the outstanding demand from the student community, the University with effect from this academic year, has started an additional test for following Non-MBA programmes:
  SIMC – MMC Course - (For Pune campus only)
  SIG – M. Sc (Geoinformatics)

These tests would enable admission for students selecting the MMC course of SIMC (Pune) and for the M. Sc (Geoinformatics) course of SIG. However in addition to this candidates appearing for SNAP Test are also eligible for SIMC – MMC-(For Pune campus only) and SIG – M. Sc (Geoinformatics).

For the candidates aspiring to take admission for M.Sc. (Biomedical), M.Sc. (Economics), M.Sc. (Medical Technology) and M.Tech. Programmes only.
  Discipline-specific test during GE/PI process for SNAP/GATE cleared candidates.
  Aptitude and discipline-specific test before GE/PI, for candidates not appeared for SNAP.

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is only the first step. There may be additional independent process conducted at an institute under each faculty to meet the specific requirements of each programme. Candidates should check the website of concerned institute for more details.

SET Test for Symbiosis Undergraduate Programmes.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is conducted by Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS).Admission to various Undergraduate Degree Progammes is through following steps:
  Entrance Test       GE / PI

The SET is held at several cities across India on the first Saturday of May every year for admissions to undergraduate programmes offered in the subsequent academic session. SET has different papers suiting various faculties under the University. Typically they are General, Design, Law, Engineering and Health Sciences. However, SET is not mandatory for the Symbiosis instititute of Technology (SIT), Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) and Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts (SSLA).

Note: Candidates those who are applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis School of Nursing (SCON) and Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts (SSLA) should visit their websites for further details.

International Students

Symbiosis Centre for International Education takes care of International Students aspiring for admission to the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International University.

Categories listed under International Students Admissions:

Foreign National (FN):
A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she holds a foreign passport.

Person of Indian Origin (PIO):
A student is eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), if he/she has a PIO card and is a citizen of a country other than India.

Non Resident Indian (NRI):
A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI), if he/she has appeared either for the 10 or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th & 12th) examination outside India.

It is mandatory for the student who falls in the NRI Category and has appeared for 12th in India to appear for the SET TEST.
