The Department of Student Affairs looks after the welfare of students. It provides a wide array of services and conducts activities that are designed to help students gain the greatest benefit from the University education through outside classroom support. It also implements UGC regulations related to student welfare.

Ombudsman

University has appointed Dr. Anil Keskar as the Ombudsman.
If the aggrieved student is not satisfied with the decision of the Grievance Redressal Committee of the Institute, he/she may appeal to the Ombudsman by registering grievance with the Administrative Officer of the Institute

Following is Symbiosis International University’s compliance to MHRD’s order No. F.4-30/2009-U.1(A) dated 17th July, 2009, and UGC letter No. F. 6-1 (7) / 2006 (CPP-I) dated 7th August, 2009:

Infrastructure

The main University campus, its constituent institutions / departments and off-campuses are in Pune, Nashik, NOIDA, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, having state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities to enhance students' learning environment. The University ensures that students are supported via user friendly policies and procedures with respect to provision, procurement, utilization, upkeep and maintenance of necessary facilities. These tasks are managed effectively by University campus administrators on each campus. The campuses are Wi-Fi enabled with adequate number of well-furnished ICT enabled classrooms with desktops / laptops, LCD projectors, audio systems, and internet connectivity.

Institutes / Departments have well-equipped laboratories, libraries with adequate print, e-resources and reference material, seminar halls, auditoria, food courts, outdoor, and indoor sports facilities, common rooms, restrooms, hostels, faculty cabins, and staff residential quarters. Facilities for streaming webinars in classrooms are also available. In some Institutes, National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) lectures, and other study material are uploaded on servers. University hostels have 24x7 internet access through Wi-Fi and / or a wired connection with upto 1076 mbps bandwidth (as per requirement), with a firewall installed. The University also has Disabled friendly infrastructural facilities. The research laboratories of the University have special high – end equipment.

The University also has health centres, adequate number of ultra-modern Recreation and Wellness Centres, operational at all Symbiosis campuses which includes a gymnasium, an aerobics studio, a meditation hall, and a swimming pool.


Grants-in-aid

Symbiosis International University does not receive any grants from the Central or State Government.
